Window trim for '68 Overlander

Fixing up a 1965 Overlander. It has the usual leaks, etc. I need to replace some of the exterior trim on the windows.
Can anyone tell me what that trim is and where to get it?

May want to correct your thread title. Says "68 Overlander", completely different beast than the 65!

Trim doesn't stop water leaks.

But, the gaskets do.

Very true. I need the window molding trim for appearance and the gasket for water control.

For what year?

You say 65 and 68.

New to posting threads. How do I get back to the thread title to change it?

Andy,
I appreciate your help...it really is for a 65 Overlander. I have applied for a thread title change.

What would be the common source for a water leak by the window next to the door? I have noticed that the window frame is cracked and loose at the corner. From what I understand this is common and discussed in several threads on this site. Could this allow a lot of water to enter the trailer?

Thanks for our help.

Sealers and more sealers.

Use Parrbond for small seams and Vulkem for large seams.

Change the window sash gaskets from the hollow tube original to the new style "D" gasket.

Use the "D" gasket on the entrance door as well.

Thanks Andy. Where do you purchase Vulkem? And what is it exactly?

Vulkem seal is a heavy bodied sealer that never completely totally hardens.

It's used on larger mostly exterir seams, like the top of the windows, over the entrance door, around all the ceiling vents, on the frame, etc.

Therefore it lasts a long long time.

Airstream has been using it for over 40 years.

A parts stocking dealer would have it.

Vulkem, now known as Trempro 635 can be purchased from Vintage Trailer Supply or your local Fastenal dealer. It is a high quality polyurethane sealant.
