Window lock

One of tyhe twist locks on my window rock-guard is worn and no longer locks the guard in place.
Where can I find these components?

Thanx, Bill

If you are talking about the rubber locks on either side of the rock guard, I would think any Airstream dealer would have or could get them. They are still using them on new models. I replaced mine because they were rusting and leaving rust stains on the surfaces below the locks. I saw stainless steel ones on ebay and bought them. I don't know what the new ones are made out of, but check with a dealer. I couldn't get the nose of my rivet gun to seat flush with the mounting flange due to interference with the rubber lock. I drilled out the pin, mounted the lock and installed the rubber lock with a stainless machine screw and nylock nut.

I think we are talking about the same thing; the little twist lock fastener that hold the window guard shut while travelling. A small screw with an arrow head shaped tip that goes into a round rubber bushing and female receiver. Twist the screw to lock/unlock and open or close the window guard.

How did you gte a nut behind the body panel? I can't picture this...

thanx, Bill

See the item on ebay. I'm not sure we're talking about the same part.

That fastener is called "dzus". They are available at many industrial parts houses as well as airport aircraft repair companies.
