Well...I was opening my small window in the back of the Airstream and while I was turning the knob to open it I heard a pop. After that I could not open it anymore but I was able to close it luckily. Now it just stays closed.I plan to take some pics here shortly but it will be a couple days before I do.I have to do some things at the moment.I am wondering if I would be able to fix it myself. Is it just really a simple thing to fix or is this a dealer thing.Seems that I could do it and all that really needs to be replaced is the arms and pieces unless it just popped out of place.
Just wondering if this is a common issue also. Thanks All.

Hehr windows? Should be commonly available from a dealer. I'll bet a handy-person could deal with it. Tucson's Oasis RV's parts desk is very good over the phone -- understanding, inexpensive shipping, quick service!
Changing the mechanism is not hard, just a couple of screws and an e-clip. Are you sure the knob didn't split, and strip? It would be too easy, I know, but something you could check.

Yea the knob is fine.I can actually pick at the window outside and open it up.I can let it go and the mechanism pulls it back shut.I dont think it is a problem but would like to fix it as I use it when I use the fan to air out the Airstream.
