vista view windows

I have a "77" International with vista view windows that appear to have bubbles between the two window panes and leak during rain. What are my options of repairing the windows? Any suggestion would be of great help.

Thanks, Bubba

Hi Bubba - welcome to the forums. Use the seach tool on the upper tool bar and search for Vista View windows or vista view leaks - you will find quite a few discussions about this chronic problem.

Thanks for your help Janet, as you can tell I'm not very computer literate. It took me a couple of hours just to figure out how to post a "thread".

Thanks again, Bubba

Bubba, The most common fix is to remove the inner pane. It has to be carefully broken out. My 76 had clouded vista views but I chose to live with it.

What year?

Any idea what model year AS trailer that these "vista view" windows first appeared on?

Tikiman,
I THINK they first appeared in the 66 model year from 66-68 they were a square shape with the introduction of the 69 model year they came with radiused ends. There were also variations from year to year after that. The 69-early75 models had a plexiglass interior panel held in place with retaining ring, by later 1975 they were a sealed unit (yeah right!) and are a bigger pain to deal with. Now IIRC they are a single pane of glass.
