Upgrading my windows

Hi, this is my first post on the forum so I hope I have used the search function correctly and this question has not already been asked and answered. I have a 2000 19' Bambi and it is time to make some upgrades, if possible. One of the things I would like to change is the windows that only open in the bottom third of the glass. Is it possible, and practical, to replace these windows with ones that fully open? Has anyone done this?
Thanks,
Cathy

When we bought our 2002 19' Bambi new, we asked Airstream if it was possible to upgrade to the fully opening, "standard" windows. The answer was a clear "no" with some explanation about different sizes. Obviously 19' Bambis are now being made with the fully opening windows, but you would need to make sure they would fit your Bambi.

After 5 years with the "lower-grade" Hehr windows, we can easily say that they have been fully satisfactory and we have never again thought of switching them out for the fully opening versions. We did install a Fantastic fan, so ventilation has never been a problem. You might try living with your present windows for awhile and then make your decision about replacement.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. We have been living with the standard issue windows for the six plus years that we have had our Bambi so we do know that we would love more air flow. We will try getting the Fantastic vent installed and see if that helps but it would be really nice to have an actual fully opening window (or two).
