Hi Nepa,

Cleaner for the old gaskets you mean? Let me know what you mean and hopefully I or someone here can help.

That's the...bittersweet taste of owning a trailer with a broken window??

I did find the glue to be rather pungent...

I still haven't removed gasket installation #2, maybe this weekend. I had to step back from the project a bit.

Sorry to jump in your thread here - but I tried several times to post a new window thread but it keeps telling me I have posted this before error - I have not been able to post a thread now for months - I keep getting the same error.

Nevertheless - I know you are all talking about the 68 and earlier windows - but I have a quick question on the 69 wing windows (that were a one off year - Yikes) We have to replace with Lexan no choice - but has anyone out there replaced a wing window and have any pics or hints on doing a good job???

Thanks for any info.

this thread is great too and certainly a good resource if we should ever pick up a late 60's tradewind/overlander. But we are not going there - I have been told to control my urges and stick with the MoonBeam till she is totally finished!

Still trying to figure out whether it was a rock - or a stress break from our bad axle.

It was pouring with rain through a terrible storm in NC around 10:30am - hardly any trafic and not really a road for throwing rocks as the shoulders are all grass throught that stretch.

Plus we did not find a rock inside either.

This is what we came up with at ther rest stop - first chance we could get off -as the coach was filling up with water - everything was soaked and covered in glass shards - a great way to start off our first snowbird trip! - but we survived and laugh about it now.

It was such a good job of fixing she is still on there and no leaks!

Yep I think we will officially add to our emergency list of things to carry varying sizes of rubbermaid or cheapies boot matts to accompany the trusty - to not live without - to use for anything you can imagine duct tape!
