Tinting Airstream Windows

Has anyone ever tinted the windows on their airstream? If so could you please tell me the best kind to get or do they make it already custom cut?

Thanks,
John

tinting windows

As with automotive windows this can be a nightmare unless done correctly. I would stay away from self installed tinting and get it done by a glass shop that has some kind of experience doing tinting. Check them out and ask if they can show you there previous work or perhaps they would let you call some previous satisfied customers. Also remember that tinting done after-market is not as permanent as you might want. Just keep looking and you will find what is acceptable to you. Good Luck! Ed

WalMart sells replacement screen fabric that is also light blocking. You can see out, but it is difficult to see in. I used to be able to see out the rear of my '74 while towing, but the dual layers from the front and bathroom windows limited my view to just headlights in the dark. I've used this screen material at home on South facing windows and it does a great job. It is also highly tear resistant.

Thanks! We just bought some screen at Lowes, maybe they will let us trade it if they have that kind.
