I have two similar leaks that are causing water to leak on the floor. The leaks are at the back window and vent of my 1961 Bambi. The strange thing about the leaks are they are not coming from the outside sills, but inside. I have posted pictures. The outside sills are dry, but the inside sills are leaking horribly. I hope someone has experienced this before. Take out the window and reseal with Vulkum? Reseal some other way? The wierd sill leak is at the top of the window (see drips). Thank you!

It's a possibility that the leak is running from above the window (the seams or vents for example) and running between the skins and exiting inside the window. It can even be something as random as a rivet that's leaking. I've found the best way to find a leak is to use a hose & work your way up from below, and go up. If you start at the top, you have no idea if the leak is below it (I know, it sounds confusing, but if you try it you'll understand what I'm talking about) If your trailer is a '61, it wouldn't be a bad idea to go over the entire trailer and reseal it. There are probably a lot of leaks you don't know about & can prevent further damage if you're pro-active. Good luck!

Is it possible it is condensation, with it coming from the inside moisture condensing on a colder window or frame surface? Just a possibility to consider.

Thank you so much for the replies! I thought condensation too, but the leaks stopped when I put a cover on the back of the bambi. So, I have check for lose rivets and I like the house idea! How do I resell seams without popping the rivets?

Seam sealing is a well covered topic here and it seems that the most important thing that you need is patients.

I had similar leaks in my '61 Safari. I sealed the seams on the end caps and that stopped the leaks.

Use the "search" feature on the forum. Enter "sealing leaks" in the google search line. You will come up with hundreds of threads on the subject. I prefer Tempro for seams, and I have used par bond around rivets. I just started doing all the rivets on my Bambi II with captain trolley. All of these products are sold at Vintage Trailer Supply.
