Spartan Port Hole Windows

I have a few more hours of work before I am ready to release the shell of a 1963 Bambi from the frame. After getting the frame and floor freshened up, I will drop the shell back on and start working on the exterior shell.

The prior owner had the front window removed, and an in-window AC unit bolted in. Needless to say, I have removed the AC unit and will need to get a new front window. The current frame is approx 19 x 41, so the actual opening will be slightly less. A Spartan port hole door window is approx 16" diameter. It would seem I could put a pair of port hole windows comfortably in the opening.

The area of the front window seems fairly flat. Would installing port hole windows just be a matter of "framing in" ribs while I have the interior skins off, installing Spartan windows, then fabricating an exterior/interior skins to fill in the approx 19 x 41 opening ?

Would a "trim ring" like in this port hole window be required?

Is this modification harder than it looks? A little surprised ( and worried) that I could not get more information on installing Spartan port hole windows from a search of the archives.
