Screen spline for 1969 GT

Does anyone know what size spline to use for a 1969 Globetrotter and where I could find it? I am replacing the screens and the smallest spline I could find was .140. It "sort of" works but is a real bear to insert. I cannot imagine that the job should be this difficult. Appreciate your help. Thank you, Dave

I took my screens to a local hardware store for replacement.
Less than $ 13.00 for a new screen, complete with new frame, installed. My point being, it might not be worth messing with, since rescreening professionally is so cheap.

If you still want to do it yourself you can stretch the spline to reduce the thickness. Just get it started then pull (slightly) as you use the tool to roll it in the groove.

I agree. Difficulty is that the screen frame in our Globetrotter appears to be firmly attached to the skin. I can't see any way to take them out. I do appreciate you comments, however. Thank you. Dave

The spline on a 1969 was also part of the decorative trim the covered the edge of the screen, this was the first and only year they did this. A removable screen frame was used in 1970 and up. To my knowledge there is no repacement available. I think the spline was .090.
