Well...I ordered a metric allen wrench and am waiting for it to come in, but I tried my allen wrench set I had in the garage and none of them fit. Do you happen to know which one actually worked for you measurement wise? I am so frustrated I might just cut them off. I looked up the academy, it looks like fun. We might try it next year. Thanks for the help.

DON'T cut the knobs off. I promise it's a regular allen wrench. Not metric. It's storming out right now or I'd go out there to find the size for you.

Ok... storm has passed...

it's a 6/32 Craftsman allen wrench...
I double checked it and unscrewed mine just to be sure!
PERFECT FIT.
This should help.

I did squirt something in the little hole to loosen a few of the screws up. Not sure what my husband gave me to use. I'm guessing WD40 in the small can. I had to open up the window to get on the underside to see what I was doing ..
and caught the drips with a rag as I squirted and waited a bit.

I don't think it is a 6/32 Allen wrench. 6/32 is 3/16 and that is just shy of 1/4".

I gave it a good try. It's the correct size for my 72 Tradewind. Guess the Argosy takes something else.

I was finally able to get them off with an allen wrench - nonmetric. Thanks for the help!
