rock guard question to SOB dealer/repair

I need to replace my front window rock guard, it did it's job. I called down to Corona and got a price with the shipping which is high. So I thought I would see if any local dealers could order me one that would come out cheaper. Very quick response, "We do not order for airstream. " And that was that. No guidance but to head for internet. You know? It was almost hostile. End of conversation. Just found it curious. So either I go down and pick it up or wait for some acquaintances to swing by as they head this direction.

How about another Airstream Dealer, such as Toscano in Los Banos?

I think Los Banos is closer so will give them a call. And check the map.

Had a similar problem. Out of Doors Mart in Greensboro NC ordered me one. I am sure they can fix you up and ship to you.

No Airstream dealers here and if there were, they'd have freight too. I just bought mine from a friendly Airstream parts dealer and had it shipped right to my door. No fuss at all.

When we had a local dealer in Columbus they did the same thing. Instead you called Airstream and ordered what you wanted - they shipped it to the dealer for you.
