Replacing window and hinge on a '68

I have a complete side window I'd like to replace on a 68 Sovereign. It has the hinge attached to the window already but how does the old window hinge come out?
Thanks
Mike

Do you have a picture? The windows on my 1970 have a two piece hinge across the top. Part is fixed to the trailer, and the other is a "J" shaped part which is riveted to the top edge of the frame around the glass. The "J" hooks into the part affixed to the trailer. The only way to remove it would be to drill out the rivets (1/8).

This window is one of the unique Corning windows only installed on the 66-68 models. I'm thinking it has to come in the same way you describe though. Just hoping to verify. Thanks Craig Mike

First detach the arm that raises the window, there is a snap ring on the inside. Then remove the small metal tab that limits the window movement forward and back, this is removed by pulling straight down with a set of needle nose pliers, be careful with the tab. Next lift what you have in place for a window or just the hinge a work past where you removed the tab. Sometimes there is not enough clearance to remove window, most will not agree, but I pry hinge attached to trailer open a little to create clearance. Slide window out.

So if I understand this right the window hinge is suppose to slide out to the side? The trailer is at storage so I can't run out and look at it right now but I'll think about what you're saying.
Thanks
Mike

Thanks for the picture. That is the first time I have seen one of those.
