Replacement Vista Window

Hi there,

We are looking to replace the window pane of a 73 Sovereign vista window. I've been looking all over the place to find someone that will make us a tempered pane in the specifications of the other curved/bent panes with no such luck. Literally the only person that would even consider the job wanted around $500 just for the pane. Is a custom bent and tempered glass job really that hard to find? Or am I just looking in all the wrong places? We've also read about lexan glass. Is this a better/cheaper alternative that would be easier for us to procure? help me pwease

Curved glass is EXPENSIVE to have made. Those Vista View windows are no longer made in the 33-1/4" length. Most just go back with plexiglass or acrylic.

Yes, we quickly discovered how expensive that can be. We went with poly-carbonate that turned out to suite us just fine. Thanks for the reassurance!

I might have an extra original send me a PM.

If you go plastic go with Lexan not plexiglass. Get UV resistant type. Lexan will work. You can put the bend in by heating in an oven over a mold.
