I have not but plan to do my whole Airstream with those. I would not hesitate to trade with them...good people.

I bought one from Airstream Dreams and it was a perfect fit, the right thickness, the edges were rounded just like the originals. I've bought a lot of supplies from them and everything I've purchased has been first rate.

We ended up running out of time and just ordered a plexi window for the rear window from Inland RV. I believe the either Inland or Airstream Dreams also has a how to for replacing the 66-69's

replacement info

i think the airstreamdreams info is in pdf format and pretty straight forword the only problem is if you have the 66 the window mount is not "feild serviceable" and difficult to do. somthing about having to break some glue that holds the glass.

Here is the link for replacement tips. We found it very helpful with installation.

Uberlanders.

Correction, please.

We do not and have not ever sold "plexiglass" replacement windows.

Years ago we did sell the Acrylite AR-2 material, but for the last couple of years we use "Lexan" AR-2 material exclusively.

Lexan AR-2 is what you received.

Andy

Ooops! Sorry Andy, you are right, I messed up on that one. I couldn't remember the proper name so I wrote the first thing I could think of.

We are very happy with our Lexan AR-2 rear window.

Post bought 3 of them!

Hi Reynolds, I bought the large, medium and flat windows from Airstream dreams and at this point have only gotten around to installing the flat piece- can't say enough about it - it fits perfectly. I have to locate window clips to install the other two but have fit the glass into place and it looks to be a perfect fit as well. I wouldn't hesitate to order whatever you need. It's such an improvement over what wasn't there! Good luck! Diane

I've always had good luck ordering from AirstreamDreams.

I'm glad to hear the windows are working out. I'll look into ordering from them.

Windows for 1966

I, too, am in the process of again replacing a window on my 1966. Does anyone know of a supplier of window clips that are needed at the bottom of all window glass on the 1966 and like era?

Walt, I may have some of those & will let you have them if you'll cover the mail cost, shouldn't be much. It may take me several days to root through my closet to see if I have them though. I do have metal edge trim that goes around all windows of a 1967 Tradewind (or like years) It adds some reinforcement to the window. Anyone needing it I'll give you a great price on it. I agree about the good reputation of Airstream Dreams. They're friendly & treat you like a customer if there's a problem or question and they don't add on excessive shipping and "handling" charges either. I'll pm you if I find the clips.

window clips

Your offer is more than fair, thank you. I can probably handle all you can find. I think my number is 16 for whole trailer. My 1966 clips have been painted numerous times but never replaced and when I touch the rusted things they break in my hand. Please let me know what you find.
