Removing Vista View window on '68 Overlander

Could someone please give detailed instructions on how to remove the vista view frame on a 68 Overlander? This window is located to the right of the door, just above another window. It is 17" wide and about 7" tall. The pane itself is, or was curved (it has been broken out) but the corners are square, not rounded. We have removed the rivets from around the frame, both on the inside and outside of the trailer but so far have only been able to remove the bottom of the window frame. The rest won't budge. Does the frame come out in four pieces? How much vulcom is holding this thing in? How far to the left/right do the sides of the frame extend?

Hi 68Overlander, welcome to the forums!

How far above the actual glass did you remove rivets? The frame of the vista view extends quite a bit above the glass to accommodate the sliding shade. I haven't removed one of these windows, but we purchased spares off of ebay and I was surprised at how large the frame was. Let me know if you want me to take a picture of the window & frame if you think that might help.

Good luck!

Pictures would be good, since I wasn't aware that Vista Views were installed in 68's.
