Re-seal top fixed window

I have read almost all the post regarding sealing a glass window to its aluminium frame and still not sure about wich product I should use.
The windoww I am talking about is the one the "top" of the overlander.
I have a leak cause the sealant between the glass and the frame is partly gone.
Should I go with bulty tape, Vulkem, Acryl-R...
What are your feedback?
I would love to say no rush as the weather in eastern canada is and there is no way to remove a window now, but I want to be ready to work on that in case the sun shows up...
Thanks.

Hi,

Are you talking about the outer edge of the frame where it meets the body leaking. Or, the the glass where it meets the inner edge of the window frame.

dufferin,

Acryl-R is great for sealing small openings in seams and will probably work very well in your situation. It 'wicks' into the seam and never really dries, staying soft and pliable. You can get it from the Airstream store on the web site or just Google it.

The very fine tip on the applicator works very well for those tiny seams.

Clean the glass at the metal flange.

Install a bead of "vulkem sealer," at that junction.

Done properly, that's the permanent end to that problem.

DO NOT USE SILICONE SEALER.

See below from a previous post about finding the product in your area.

Here's a company that carries Vulkem and Sikaflex in your backyard. Maybe they will sell it to you direct.
Good luck.....
