One other question--on all the side windows of my 74 Sovereign, it appears there's a plastic pane as well. I noticed a couple threads mentioning the plastic panes in the vista windows but I haven't heard anyone mentioning it in the windows that open. Can you tell me anything about that? I assume I'll just have to remove it to get to the double pane glass, but again, trying to research ahead of time. We all know "what happens when you assume..."

Spontaneous destruction

Got up Sunday and gazed out at the Overlander. Surprise, one of the wing windows had broken overnight. This is the inside glass, so it wasn't a big bird or hail. I had read in some other post about this happening to tempered glass, but I wasn't sure I believed it until now.

The good news is now I can replace these detestable, leaky, hard-to-blind windows with skin, like my Safari modification. http://www.airforums.com/forums/show...6&postcount=58
