Polishing Fine Scratches in Center Front Window Guard on FC 23

The dealer said to use 3m Finesse it II 05928 machine polish. Does anyone have experience with this polish? Assume I need to use a random orbital polisher and orange pad?

Still waiting too. I really wrecked my cover by trying to clean off the road goo with some kind of plastic kitchen scouring pad. Now instead of goo, there are a million tiny scratches. Bad idea. Jim

I would try a company that works with plexi/lexan to see what is best to use. Toothpaste may work but best to ask the pros. Good luck.

I just wax them with car wax. The fine scratches disappear for a few months at least.

Do you use a random orbital polisher with Novus?

I used a headlamp lens polishing kit on my corner windows. I just followed the directions. A 3m kit did the 2 windows. Worked for me

I've used Finesse it on GelCoat. (fiberglass boat's outer skin). It works great on that as it does clean and polish. If you try, i would first use a cotton cloth on a small area--no need for orange pad or the machine. It does not need a orbital polisher to do a good job on the GelCoat. I would guess the headlight lens polish product would be a safer bet. Finesse it would remove more of the surface especially if you use a orbital, but I would not know the resulting clarity of the newly polished glass.

I have years of experience working with all kinds of plastics. So don't think I'm off my rocker. One of the best things to remove (hide) small craze scratches is Lemon Pledge.
Just spray it on and use a micro fiber cloth to buff off. It will also help make bugs come off easier.
Happy travels

I used Novus on my Harley windshield a couple times every year. It makes the surface very clear - no scratches. I used microfiber cloth.
