Plea for parts

The parts forum is closed, I think...move this to the right one if needed.

I'm looking for some window parts in case they're out there. Will pay.

For a 1967 Tradewind 24'

I need: three window clips

1 entire thing of the assembly that cranks the window shut at the bottom edge of window, attaches to the bottom of the window frame.

1 e-ring (pictured below)

and two of the crank arm and handle combo's (pictured below)

Just in case anyone might have them before I go shopping (I can't find the crank device anywhere online, if anyone knows where I can get those, I'd really appreciate it).

If you have more than three window clips, I know someone else who needs some!

Ingrid, the E rings are available from most auto parts stores, in assortments of 20 or so, for about $5 per package. The window crank handles are available from mobile home parts supply stores. for $2-3 each.
If you can't find them locally, let me know. There is a mobile home parts place where I got our window regulators and crank handles from, I will be happy to pick up the appropriate amount, and send them to you. Your trailer takes different closers and regulators than our, so I am not sure where the rest oif the parts can be gotten from, but at least you know you have a source for some of your parts.

I really hate to shop, I like to go in and get what I need and get out. I'm glad to know I can get some of this stuff locally pretty easily. I'll let you know how I do on these things and contact you if need be.

I'll probably end up purchasing the rest of the stuff. Inland RV carries them.

I'm in the same boat with you on the clips (could I be the friend who needs some?) - I have heard that the clips Inland sells won't fit our frameless windows and are appropriate for the framed '68 version. I was at the point where I was just going to pony up the bucks and buy the 5 that I need but stopped when I heard this tidbit.

Nice to know about the winder handles too as I need something like 10 of them. Just discovered today that each vent uses 2 and none are there (probably robbed for window use)....

If I find a trove of clips you're next in line, girl!

Blaine window hardware has been very forthcoming on my projects. they carry a lot of the older Hehr actuator parts.
You might call them, or send a photo, they really try and work with you.
I doubt, however, that they would have the corning glass clips.

I was trying to make them, but our machine shop has been torn apart and now is goin gback together. The prospect of me making them is low as the orders are stacking up for the regular stuff (tooling for production ) and our michanical engineer is about to go in for back surgery again.

I will dig through my parts stash for sopme of the list, but the window clips are far off for now. I have extras, but they are holding in the windows on Shell Shock till I get the intreroir out.

HEY DIANE, FYI, I JUST PUT 2 NEW CLIPS FROM INLAND ON EACH OF MY NEW SMALL WINDOWS USING BEDDING TAPE AND THEY ARE HOLDING TO THE WINDOWS JUST FINE! I AM ALSO GOING TO INSTALL THOSE TWO WINDOWS TOMORROW USING THE SAME BEDDING TAPE ON THE TOP EDGE OF THE GLASS AT THE GLASS CLAMP, TO SEE HOW TIGHTLY IT WILL HOLD THE GLASS INTO THE CLAMPS. I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT WORKS! HOPE THIS HELPS YOU TWO DECIDE WHAT TO DO ABOUT CLIPS. I MAY HAVE SOME WINDOW PARTS LEFT OVER WHEN I'M DONE REPLACING ALL MY GLASS. I'LL LET YOU GUYS KNOW. You can also squeeze the clip to narrow it's thickness, to fit the window without the metal frame, or use a cork shim or double sided tape.

All of the above solves the problem.
