Operating question - opening windows

On my 1986, the levers to open the windows don't seem to operate correctly. The glass is not sticking to the gaskets but the levers to open the windows seem to be "notchy". Is there a lubricant or adjustment that may be necessary? Thanks in advance for your comments.

All opening window hardware and gaskets, should be generously lubed with "silicone spray." Same is true for the entrance door, and access compartment doors. While your at it, lube the entrance door lock striker bolt, and the striker pocket.

Depending where you live, that lubing should take place once or twice a year.

After a couple of days, wipe the surplus silicone spray off with a cotton rag.

On my 75 TW some of the windows do not want to stay open. There is a series of holes in the window frame that the linkage should fall into, but does not always stay. Is something worn, dirty or out of adjustment on these?

The levers may seem to be "notchy" because there are little round notches in the side of frame that a pin in the lever fits in to to keep the window open. You can see them when standing outside your open window. You may also check the black nylon piece, one on each side, that guides the lever to see if it has slipped off. I had that happen on my '86 Sovereign and wedged it back in with a screwdriver.
