Could you post a picture, I can't figure exactly what you are inquiring about except that you need a new hinge. Whats wrong with the original?

hinge for window 1972 globetrotter

the rivets were broken and twisted and so is the j shaped aluminum hinge

this hinge is rivetted to the window with 10 quarter inch rivets and the hinge simply fits into the track above the window and stays in place by gravity and the window support rods

will get pix

thank you !!!

The hinge half you are referring to is held in place with MS20470AD4-X rivets with X=length of rivet in 1/16th inch intervals. They are 1/8" in diameter. These hinge half's are probably going to be difficult to find unless you buy the complete window, or find a salvaged unit. I have straightened these out on my trailer and re-riveted then on. I did however countersink the window frame (seal side) so the bucktails of the new rivets can be flush sanded. This allows the window seal to set flush to the fame and also alleviates the binding of the J hinge when closing the window, shearing off the J hinge rivets, and bending of the hinge while closing the window.
