Need help 70 rear window glazing

I am trying to replace the glazing strip in my rear window, 73 Sovereign.

Whats the secret of getting the glass back into the window?

I have tried putting the rubber on the window then sliding it into the aluminum track, putting the strip into the track and trying to slide the glass in. I am using windex as a lubricant and have seen others use a dry silicone lube.

I don't want to spread the two halves because they are a bit sprung already.

Any tips or suggestions?
