Awhile back I read a thread where a guy had removed his windows, removed the seals, and each pane of glass, cleaned out the bubbly film, and reassembled it with new seals. He never had to break his windows out like all the other fixes I have seen. I have not been able to find that posting again. Has anyone seen this, or know where it is? Has anyone tried this on their own?
We have a leak that needs found as it is causing floor rot(fixing that currently), and we need to reseal EVERYTHING. Our thoughts are, that if we need to seal it all, and the exterior needs a deep clean anyway, we might think about going through with the process. MAYBE, depending on what we learn. If you can be of help, or have something to offer I'd love some insight!
Thanks!!
Look up Zeps' threads. He also does a fantastic presentation,,hands on, for rebuilding the window...at the restoration rally in ABQ.
