light effects window film

i would like to install a window film (fake stained glass look) to my entry door window. the existing window looks like a double glass type but the old film is quickly fading and lifting off in places, pretty ugly really. my question is how extensive do i need to get and how is this old film removed.

If that is a double pane window like in Airstream it is a double pain, but possible to split the frame and strip the film which is on the inside. You could take a centerpunch and shatter the inner pane which is easier and quicker.

Is that door window factory? I didn't know they did that on Argosys.
