How to replace an oval window on a 1970 Overlander.

Good evening AirForums.

A quick question. Have a 1970 Overlander with a broken street side oval window. I am preparing to replace it. Should I drill out the rivets on the inside of the camper, or the ones on the outside? I am leaning toward inside, since I can easily replace them with pop rivets.
