Help broke a window !

Had that moment of pause when my weed eater shot out my window .. did that really just happen..? ! I am desperate to find a salvage replacement window. it is the opening window to the right of the door of my 71 overlander. it is 18.5 X 22 outside measurement of the glass frame... Airstream wants 500 bucks to custom make a new one.. any chance ANYONE knows of a salvage one. much thanks,, mark in Berkeley Ca

We did the weed eater thing too last year and had inland replace it at four hundred whoppers (does it come with a lap dance???) I have the old frame that we removed- and it's the one on the litchen side next to the couch (about three feet wide and 18-19 inches tall. But remember the glass is curved, and to keep in tradition we decided to take that '$$$plunge' and go with inland....in the meantime if you are trying to find a way to do a great cover up...go to walmart and get a roll of 'CONTACT' adhesive backed paper (white) and this makes a great temp cover.

I was recently doing a craigs list search,I`m pretty sure it was in Alabama, someone was parting out a 70`s something 31'. Do a Tempest search which will start closest to to the zip code and go out.
Just enter Airstream, and zip code 35986,I know that is an Alabama zip code. Good luck. Dave

Sorry to hear it, I did the same thing a couple years ago.

If you can't find a glass replacement, I have a plexi window in my trailer that has been working fine for over 6 years now. So if money is tight that might do the trick until you can find a reasonably priced replacement.

There is an ad for some windows that would fit your trailer currently in the classifieds. You can also contact any Airstream dealer and get a new replacement.
