Hehr Window Lock

Has anyone out there come up with a way of making the clasp part and pressing it into the window support. VTS has the support but not the clasp.

I’m trying to remember what I did. What is the purpose of the clasp? I looked in the 1967 Hehr catalog and they showed Hehr Standard parts, but didn’t point out a center bar with a clasp. They did show one with a brake. Sorry, must be having a memory moment.

I used a 5/32 steel roll pin and ground down the hook latch and now everything works like a charm.

I am sure over time the latch might give out, but it will be an easy fix. Same thing for the roll pin.
