Furry Strips

I'm working on the window screens on my '76. The interior"screen Frame" has 2 slots in it for the window handles to come through. Glued to the inside of the frame are "fuzzy" strips that provide for stopping insects from entering around the window handle slots. Each handle needs 2 of the strips so each window needs 4 of them. They are each roughly 11" long. They arn't shown in the Service/Parts manual. I tried Inland and they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Does anyone know where I can get them?

I got mine at OASIS RV in Tucson, Arizona.

They call it “bug seal”. $1.41 per foot.

My apology.

You talked with a new employee.

What you need is called fuzzy seal for screens.

We have hundreds of feet of it in stock.

Fuzzy Strips

I want to thank you all for responding. After reading yours and some other threads I thought that the strips that Andy has are actually what I am looking for. The photograph of the part didn't look like what iI needed. I didn't realize that when you removed the thread, you had the fuzz. Befor that it just looked like a lantern wick. I bought them from Inland this afternoon. Thanks again!

Just purchased some of the fuzzy seal for our Argosy. Before I head up to the camper, I want to make sure I know how to install as directions were not included. I called Inland today and was told any adhesive should be fine to bond the metal and "fuzzy". Looking to see if anyone has a clearer suggestion as I know not all materials bond well together.

Use a yellow weatherstrip adhesive.
