Drip cap - Where's it at?

Anyone know where I can get one of these drip caps? It is 46" long.

Is there a early 60's parts trailer out there that wants to help me with my project?

44 inch and 48 inch are available.

For a custom size, some owners cut the drip cap in half, overlap it, and rivet it back together, with a bead of sealer between the two pieces.

I know that cutting and spicing a new one is an option, however I do not like the idea of a splice in such a prominent location. I have contacted Vintage Trailer Supply, Airstream, and every RV salvage company I can find info on... I am striking out every where I turn. I have found longer new stock, or shorter, but not 46". Someone out there has a pre 1963 trailer that will never see the road again... Common help a brother out here.

The question was, "Where's it at?"

Care to share these supply sources? I need some of it for a couple of trailers and have struck out.

Thanks, TB

Drip Caps

Fabricated from heavy mill finish aluminum, with formed ends and punched mounting holes.
Can be used over entrance doors, storage doors, generator doors, windows and outside fixtures. They add a finished look to any coach as well as protection from rain running down the side of the coach. Available in sizes from 20" up.
From NTP Catalog

I have this link Moldings & Drip Caps at RVShop.com
See 44" then 48". Inland Andy has the same lengths. I need one that is 46" end to end. My 62 Overlander cannot have that unique of a window.

Here in Baltimore we say "wearz it at". It is used for everything from trailer parts to steamed crabs. Sorry I forgot the post-tro-fee.

I have been a good little Airstreamer this year and I sure hope Santa comes through.

NTP is a little to general can you narrow down the search.

I am not allowed to give karma too often, the program says I have to spread it around... But, Ed,... Huge karma to you!!! Airstream Karma to you!!!

For those that are a little slow, Ed has my drip cap. He knew I would need one and he bought an extra one for me when Vintage Trailer Supply had them in stock a year ago(I have owned Anna 4 months now, it is so auspicious). You folks have no idea how relieved I am now. I feel like I have won the lotto.

If anyone out there can, please send Ed, aka n2batr some karma. He has the true Airstream spirit. Wally would be very proud of you Ed.

I told you I am slow... I just got it. Must have been that Reagan Zap at the bottom of your tag that kept me from understanding... Remember his wife's campaign? "just say no"... that was a huge success....

Frank, Thanks for the praises. Glad I could help out a fellow airstreamer. Your drip cap is on its way! Great job with your renovation so far. Ed

From the linked image properties I came up with THIS

If you search "drip cap" you will find that they have lengths in increments of 2-4 inches from 20" to 86"

Very true.

But the fact is, "no one" has a new 46 inch drip cap.

A larger one can be installed, but some owners insist on the 46 inch drip cap.

It won't happen.

Hmmmm. . . .

The NTP website only has listed the 44" and 48". But there is a missing part number in the sequence between the two sizes. I wonder if you ordered P/N 20-0767 would they send you a 46" drip cap?

Nope.

NTP does not have any such stock number.
