Do I need to go through a dealer for a replacement window?

I broke one of the windows on my 2005 25' International CCD. It has been a week and my local Airstream dealer is "still working on tracking the replacement part down for me". I wrote Airstream directly and they confirmed that the part number is #371323-100, and they have it in stock. Is there a way I can order this directly from Airstream myself? Or some other supplier?

It seldom hurts to ask

I have heard of people having parts drop-shipped from the factory.

Since Airstream confirmed the part number, you appear to have an "in" with the parts department. I recommend you ask them if they will ship it to you.

Airstream will not ship parts to individuals - dealers only.

Not entirely true. I just took delivery of a new Interstate Class B and found that the awning brackets were missing and that the dealer had not installed the coffee maker I requested. Airstream has shipped both parts directly to my home and I have received one of them.

Think that is a completely different situation than what we're discussing here. Unless you purchase in person at the factory normally Airstream requires you to go thru a dealer for all replacement parts.

Just call another dealer... Outdoors Mart or Colonial are East Coast.. and should be able to have them shipped to you directly.

not only do they not ship to individuals, they also will NOT ship to a non AS dealer.
Wayneskid might be an exception in that he lives in Ak. Since the parts were not AS, might be another reason.
I had the non As dealer incident happen to me.

Maybe you should try another dealer.
I ordered some parts thru AS of Arkansas and they were quickly shipped direct to me from AS.

I have found that Airstream customer Service is more than willing to build a fire under the dealer, if the dealer is dragging their feet ordering parts.
It has worked wonders for me a couple of times.

Ours is vintage but we were able to have a window replaced thru Inland RV in Cali. Costs about 400.00.

Sounds like your local dealer needs some retraining in ordering parts, if you as the buyer was able to get the info. I agree with others on this thread get another dealer that will service you as you should be as a valued customer. My dealer in Waterbury, CT was wonderful and I am forever going to use them.

As was stated in an earlier post Airstream does only sell to dealers.

If you are at the factory, you can in fact buy the parts from them directly, but when away from the factory, only through an authorized dealer.
