Cheap Front Window Rock Guard

After seeing $400 for a plastic guard, I thought why not aluminum? Bought a sheet and started cutting and riviting to the old frame. $27.00

Kind of Cool

That was what I was thinking of doing, or somthing like it.

It has that 'the aliens have landed' look.

Does it move in the wind or when towing.

No, the original latches hold it just like the original plastic one; same frame.

Yeah, we went a similar approach. However, our 67 still had the original aluminum frame to hold the used-to-be-a-piece-of-corrugated-fiberglass, so we simply replaced the fiberglass with aluminum within the original frame.
