Well .... regarding my window replacement, I contacted the local dealer and asked to have the glass ordered from AS. The cost is $184.20 plus shipping & handling. That's the 18 1/2 x 22 curbside tinted glass only with hardware (no frame) on a '94 Classic Limited 30'. Ouch! Before giving the order, I called the AS Tech line (877-596-6505) to confirm the part number - as usual, I like to trust but verify my information.

It would be nice to have a complete part number catalog for the AS ... so I can be sure we're talking the same exact part when I call the dealer in the future...

I would contact Andy at Inland RV. His quote for mine was cheaper than $184.20. I told my husband from here on out he is not allowed to close the windows. But I think it would have broke even if I were to have gently shut it. This might be what happened to your son in trying to close it. They surely are not windows you can force shut. And if you are not careful lowering the glass they can fall shut. This is why I like two of us shutting the large front and back windows. Someone inside to unlatch and latch it and the other person to help gently lower it.

Good luck with your replacement

I picked up my window this weekend and, to my surprise, I was given a "break" ... oh, that's lame ... on the window cost. It's around $165 (to give the exact price, I'd have to get out of my chair and find the receipt). Anyways, I'm looking forward to my first Region 1 rally this coming weekend (Bondville Fairgrounds, VT) without my makeshift aluminum window.

Thanks all!
