68 Tradewind - replaced the gaskets and they still leak

I recently began a restoration of a 1968 Tradewind and ordered new gaskets from VTS and have redone all the windows. Unfortunately I now have leaks where I didn't have leaks, I'm wondering if the gaskets are too thick towards the mid/top portion of the window. Any one else have a similar issue, any other pearls of wisdom?

Thanks

I have a 1967, and have a similar issue. Until I figure out a permanent fix, I’ve had to leave the windows open a crack and place something under the window bars to catch Drips. Definitely interested in recommendations from others!

And sorry I don’t have any help to offer.

I replaced all my '67 Overlander's seals in 2004 and everything is still good. You can read about it here:

http://home.hiwaay.net/~tomorkim/WindowSeals.htm

Of note:
* every couple of years the windows are opened so the seals can be sprayed with silicone spray.
* While Inland Andy sold me the double-lip seals, his store now only sells D-seals.
* To seal hinge leaks, Inland Andy recommended pumping RTV into the hinge & operating the window to distribute it.

Hope this helps,
Tom
