'68 ambassador: no place to attach retracting arm on window

I have two windows that were reworked by astrophysicists that used this trailer as a lab. These windows are plexiglass and have nothing for the retracting arm on the right side of the sill vertical to connect too. The "right" windows have what appears to be 3 vertical aluminum pieces across the top. The "wrong" windows have only one. How can I correct this?

Plexiglass in short order will crack and craze when the sun hits it.

Replacement glass windows are available.
