If you like pictures take a look here.Restoration Topics - Window Repairs.

I don't see why you would need to remove any rivets.

Hey trout-fly, I didn't see your joining. I'm in Cloverdale, have a '51 Flying Cloud and my buddy, who is right on the C'dale/Langley border is about to do the windows in his '53 Flying Cloud. We've got a friend coming to visit in mid December who is in the throws of restoring a '65 Caravel. He is Bluebunny on the Forums.

Thanks for the pics. Lee,,,i got 1 window frame out,,,i was having trouble sliding it out,,,my eye sight isn`t what it once was,,,there was a super small philips head screw in the middle of the frame,,,after i got that out it slid out,,i took the inner wall pannel off,,now i can see how everything was put together,,i thought i had to take the window housing out,,but looking at it there will be no need to,,,,hello to barry and donna,,,we live on 232nd st. Just north of the fraser hwy. We have some greenhouses and sell carnivorous plants (venus flytraps),,,good to know there is somebody close with a vintage airstream,,,,keith and sheila
