'64 Overlander curved side glass?

I was under the impression that 64" Overlanders had flat glass. I went out to put a new piece in and it is curved at the top. Any ideas on how to find a curved replacement? Is this thing really a 64"?

Good question!

Do you have any pictures or a VIN number to help ID your trailer? It may actually be "younger" than 1964...the curved Corning glass was used in 1966-68 - '64s normally do have flat windows. The other distinguishing feature of the Corning glass windows is they are mostly frameless, whereas '64s have a standard heavy four-sided frame. Some of the later models with Corning glass did have a thin "trim" to make the windows more visible when open, but they were still considered "frameless" by comparison. One more distinguishing difference to determine whether it's a '64 or a newer model would be the tail lights - '64 still had the simple round lights and '65 and newer had the more elaborate multi-lese housings.

You may want to check out the links below to see if something looks familiar:

Good luck with solving the mystery! Hope this helps...

64" Overlander curved side glass?

Greetings Holliston777!

Welcome to the Forums!

Shari has posted several good clues, and to her list, I would add that if the coach is a 1964 or earlier, it will have a "door-within-a-door"; while 1965 and later, the door will be one-piece. Another identifier is the jalousie window -- 1964 and earlier have a set beside the entry door; while 1965 and later do not have the jalousie window next to the door.

Good luck with your investigation!
