'56 Bubble missing window parts

Hi, this is my first (probably of many) in pleas for help restoring my Bubble. When my 1965 Bubble arrived to me in the UK it was missing ALL of it's window parts (amongst other things but those will be another post). I know that I can buy the Hehr Levers from vintage Trailer supplies Vintage Trailer Supply - Vintage travel trailer parts and supplies!
But I don't have the upright that the lever slides in and don't see how it locks. Can anyone tell me how this system works, does anyone have an old upright the can lend me so I can make some new ones? Does anyone out there by chance have a box of bits that may be useful to me. All help greatfuly received.

Welcome to the forums.

The missing pieces you refer to are called the "Back Channel". I have not been able to locate any yet in the size I need, but a forums member "Aerowood" thinks he can likely make a new one. I sent him the measurements a little while back, and I am awaiting his response.

It will be tough since you are missing all the back channels in your window, but do not get discouraged.

I will help out by pointing you in the right direction once I find something or hear of anything else that may work.

Again...welcome.

Steve

Thanks to both of you for your help. I am also pretty sure I could make them or get them made if I had one to copy, don't want to double up on them though so will wait to hear from Aerowood. Thanks again. Dan
