1968 Tradewind Odd Windows

My trailer has these fixed frame windows above the regular windows. They have pull down shades installed under the interior aluminum shell. I don't see them on any other Tradewinds or 1968 pics. What the heck? Are these the precursors to the Vista Views?

I like them. They add light. They have made me crazy with leak repair.

Those would be (very) early vista view windows. They are a double-edged sword, as you have found.
The good news--They let in more light
The bad news-- They let in more heat from the sunlight.
The good news-- They make the interior more light and airy
The bad news-- They are more holes to leak.

That window is called a "vista view" window.

They were on many 68's, then they became standard for most part.

Stop the leaks with Vulkem sealer.
