1965 Hehr Window- Can the frame slide out of top track?

Title says it all. We have a broken frame and dh wants to try to slide it out of the track at the top. Is this possible? Thanks! It is difficult to see, but it looks like the frame is nesting in another piece of aluminum.

yes, vintageairstream.com has instructions. i think you just lift and slide out. might be a screw or 2.
