1964 Sovereign windows

We are thinking about purchasing a 1964 Sovereign and were curious about the windows. There are the jalousie windows in the front portion. I noticed when i closed them that there was still space for air to get in and yet there's no apparent rain damage in the interior. Are these something you want to keep that makes them special or should they/can they be replaced...and for what approximate cost?
