This is really starting to get to me..Help! Hinge pin

I just need to take the door to the shop. The shop has no room for my AS. I want to take off both the door and screen so the shop can use the screen as a template to correct the exterior door frame. HOW do I get the pin from the hinge?????????? OMG, REALLY TIRED OF THIS!! Please help.....

I'm not so sure you can get the hinge back together if you get it a-part. The hinge comes off the unit via two nuts ( 2 per hinge) which are buried inside the unit. You have to take the inside trim off then lift up the inside metal. ( big Job ) Both doors and hinges stay together.
Lets just say you can get the door to the shop with-out the unit. Whatever they have to do to it to make it right it is very unlikly that it will fit right without the unit to form it to it.
Can you post a picture or two as to what the problem is?

Wild, your trailer is older than mine. Dear Hubby and I had issues with our door. I hunted down some excellent Airstream Factory Instructions on disassembling the door. It was added to my repair post. Hopefully with my name, and only a few posts you will be able to find it.

We gave the instructions to our dealership, they followed them to a tee and the repairs were acceptable.

I'm sure that the stainless steel pin is corroded into the aluminum hinge. have you tried saturating the pin with Aero Kroil to loosen it up yet. Use of heat from a heat gun may also help. I have a spare hinge that I want to rework but have not been able to remove the pin, but I really haven't tried that hard either.

My cast door frame was cracked in about six places. After I had it welded, I had to hang it back on the trailer (with no skin) in order to restore most of the contour with heat. Reskinning it is what finally locked it all in place. I also replaced the KT lock assembly

Aero, Im having real trouble with this door. When you rehung your door was the interior screen door still installed. I thought that I may try to heat it with mapp gass torch and ratcheting straps and bend it into shape. What do you think?

I did not have the screen door installed when I reformed the door but the hinge was. I had drilled the screen door off. I also reformed the frame with no skins on it. You might try just removing the inner skin. Be very careful with a MAPP Gass torch, if possible try heat guns first. Try to find a way to pull the top into the trailer while applying heat to the area just above the hinge on the aft side and the corresponding spot on the front. Two heat guns applying heat at the same time while applying tension to the top of the door may give you some results Trying to reform the door with both skins on it would be non productive. Do not apply heat to the outer skin as it will cause distortion.
