"This is not a storage area"??
We have a 1999 28' Excella with twin beds.
There is a quite large outside storage compartment above the back bumper, under the license plate. It has a small red sign inside that says "This is not a storage area".
Does that little stick on sign really belong there?l If so, what can you put in there?

It may be an access area to plumbing and electrical stuff. Is there anything in there now? Wires? Hoses? Pipes? Anything?
Maybe it's a place to keep unruly grandkids.

Careful!
While there space to store items, you should be careful not to just throw things - especially heavy ones - into this "bin." There are plumbing fixtures, electrical wires, etc. in there and you can easily damage or disconnect them.
Just me...

It is lined totally in carpet, with nothing exposed. Just like several other outside storage areas.
We have only had it a week. When we picked it up, there was nothing but that little red sticker in it.
Maybe it is a weight thing?
I would like to put a folding ladder in there.

My outside access storage area is also carpet. It does have some plumbing in it but no caution not to use it. If I didn't have it for storage, I'd be lost.

Were it me, I'd put my ladder and anything else light in there I wanted, assuming as you state that it's clear of plumbing, etc. Being in the rear, you'll want to keep the weight down.

Thanks! We will use it for storage of light weight items. It is such a great space, way too much to leave empty.

This may be obvious to me after your reply - I know about P/O, what is S/O?

Maybe the warning is self-referential like Rene Magrite's painting of a pipe titled "This is not a pipe!" No, it's a painting. Maybe it is just a sticker!
