Stainless Steel Range Hood Vent

Thanks for the pictures. Looks like a good solution for my Safari that has the same problem.

How does the Roger Williams vent deal with the flap retainers? Does the vent seem to pass the same amount of air as the plastic one?

Thanks

Sorry gang...

Unfortunately RW AS is no longer in business....too busy with Politics I guess.

And yes the Dealership was as good as the ad.....if not better.

Great News!!!

Two months ago I tried calling couldn't get thru, checked the factory dealer list and they were no longer listed. Glad....great customer service.

Weatherford is where DH and I met and married 20 years ago. We stopped there on our way down to SA. Our AS was spanking new and we were having trouble with our dinette falling when DD was trying to lay down. I called RW for service and they said they would call the next morning and possibly come fix the dinette. Unfortunately they never called and didn't return any messages. We went to home depot and fixed it ourselves. I'll give them another try though.

That video is funnier that anything I have heard in a long while, that had anything to do with politics!

I've contacted them recently and was told they are still a Dodge dealership but have nothing in stock for Airstreams and no longer deal with Airstreams.
Is there a special person or extention that I need to ask for when calling?

Seems that the person answering the phone knows nothing about the Airstream side of the business.

Going on the assumption that Roger Williams Airstream did not manufacture these doors, I did a bit of google and found this place.

Summit Product Home

They said they make SS doors for water heaters, furnaces, etc.
They do not however have them listed on the web site.
They said they will email some pictures to me. I will post them when I get them.

Am I correct in assuming that the original doors come from the appliance maker? If so I am guessing that the defining data may be the make and model of the appliance.

Ken

Ken,

Now that's a good question...probably so.

Not sure if RW outsourced the manufacture or got them from a vender.

Someone in the DFW area needs to call and get an answer....open or not

Roger Williams may no longer have these. When I was at Jackson Center in early June the Airstream Store had some water heater and furnace covers left. They are out of the stove vent hoods. You need to call them to check on availability.

I wonder if anyone at the Airstream store would be willing to share their source. I may call them later. The vent hood is the one I am most interested in.

Below is the email response I got very quickly from Summit. I am guessing that this must be lot more $$ that the ones in this thread.

Ken

Ken,

We can fabricate the parts for you, but you might find the cost prohibitive. The two smaller parts will cost around $325.00 each and the larger one will cost around $400.00. The majority of our accents are for diesel pushers and we haven’t had many inquiries for Airstream accents to make it a line to pursue at this time.

If you decide you want us to work with you on this, please let us know.

PS - I did notice Airstream motorhomes on the list of motorhomes they sell stuff for.

Williams Airstream was GREAT while it lasted and the first few years were the best due to the manager and top service folks; however, Roger's heart was never in it as his dealership has always been a means to the end....politics. Too bad for NTX Airstreamers.
