switch to "D" shape

I replaced all the window seals on my 66 Overlander but the original lip seal on the door needs replaced. Inland RV shows that I should just replace it with the "D" shaped seal I used on the windows. Has anyone else went with the "D" style with no ill effects?

Yes. I replaced my door gasket with the d gasket from inland rv on my 65 globetrotter. Works fine.

I cleaned the old seal off and tried a few pieces or the "D" tape, but it's not quite thick enough. I know this isn't weatherproofing season, but I tried all the home improvement stores and can't seem to find anything thicker than 1/4". Is the stuff from InlandRV any thicker. They don't give any specs.

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.
