The lock to the rear luggage compartment on my 1995 Sovereign is broken. The threads on the square bit on the inside of the trailer (where the cam attaches) are stripped out. I've contacted Deco lock, but they don't make this anymore.
Any suggestions on where I could find a replacement or how to fix it?
I've got a similar issue. The locking mechanism broke on my 94 model. I've contacted all the normal suppliers, and the only advice I've been able to get is to call a locksmith and see if they can rebuilt the lock.
Curious to see if anyone else has a better solution.
Txtwin: I gave up and found a neighbor with a thread tapping set to re-thread the lock to accept a slightly larger bolt, which allowed just enough room for the cam to be attached. I've installed the lock back in the door and it's working well.
