At present, I keep the door of my '70
sovereign closed with a hunk of wood, and have been thinking it might be time to change that. However, I've had trouble finding a suitable replacement for the latch that was most likely pillaged by a past owner and sold. I am not looking for the exact replacement, but rather something reasonably affordable that isn't made of cheap plastic (and ideally not involving a knob).
Could anyone point me in the right direction? I'd call out the opening of the door at about 3 1/16" x 7 1/4", and the door itself is 1 1/2" thick. It appears that the actual latch bolt would need to be pretty much at the height of the bottom of the opening. Hope the picture elucidates further.
