Hello,
I got a broken door handle on my AS and I don't have a key for it so I guess a new lock is needed as well. The outside portion of the handle works fine but the inside part was once L-shaped but now is just a chewed up knob from someone using vice grips on it (the previous owner - i knew him). It's a 26ft 67 Overlander. Here are some pictures of it. I don't care about replacing the existing with some vintage original part. It can be some universal part and modern manufacturer. I just got this AS and am trying to get it ready for a 2 week trip in 2 months. This is the top priority right now. Is there universal modern parts that will work? i don't even know where to look or what for?

You should try both VintageTrailerSupply.com and InlandRV.com. They both have loads of vintage parts. Ed

on both of those sites I found none that were a match for what is on there now. i did some measuring and found these two should work just based on the masurements. What do you think?

New door knob and lock and keys
New deadbolt and keys

Give them a call at Vintage Trailer Supply. Have your year/model and VIN ID number ready. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to Airstreams and if their parts work on your trailer. ED

I just winged it and bought those linked above. All the measurements are the same so we shall see if it works or not

I have new and used Bargman L100 and L200 locks and can install a new long latch or stem. I also have some Chesler lock parts as well. I can rebuild most if these locks too. I have lots of spare parts. Send me an email to r_whiten@hotmail.com and I will be glad to assist you.
