Need some Keys...please help.

good morning everybody.
We are in serious need of the compartment and water refill keys for a 1972.
We are working on our fix her up and since the PO lost the keys we can open them.
Looking online we found that according to the Airstream Key Chart we supposed to have:
1101X - Compartment Key
G248 - Water Refill
We are very frustrated with dragging around the trailer to see if can have it or get one done.
Airstream Dealer in the area said that we need to replaced all the locks!(it looks like somebody wants to make some $$$)
Reading here it seems like everyone's keys from 1972 to 1974 it should be the same.
Wondering if other members will be so nice to make a copy of their keys and mail it to us? We will gladly take care of the costs involved.
please contact us

Out of Doors Mart has a selection of keys on their website. You might want to try them first.

Keys : Out-of-Doors Mart!, More Airstream Parts on-line than anyone!

I found keys I needed, including the water-fill key, at Oasis RV in Tucson, AZ. I understand you can also get these keys at OutofDoorsMart: Out-of-Doors Mart

The compartment keys on my '73 matched the entry door key. I removed the battery compartment door, took it to a locksmith, and for less than $20, I had keys that fit everything but the waterfill door.

If you get access to the inside wall (the backside of the waterfill area), you should be able to see the metal latch that holds the water fill door closed. I slipped the blade of a pneumatic hacksaw in there and just sawed off the latch. Now that the door was open, I simply removed the lock and replaced it with an over-the-counter shallow cabinet latch I bought at Lowe's for < $5.00.

I don't have my keys handy, but IIRC the 1101X is also the main door key. My door key also unlocks the rear compartment.

You need to try what keys you have, since many AS keys fit more than one lock.

Also, the large Airstream parts resellers that you see on here do carry many of the keys.
