missing rivets

We are overhauling our 85 Sovereign 27, Today I removed the rain lip and porch light from over the door. The two top center rivit heads are gone. The door opens, closes, and otherwise operates very smoothly. It is not misaligned or show any other signes of being sprung. So should I drill out the rivit bodies and replace them, or leave well enogh alone. If I replace them, what type of rivit should I use? Keep Smilin! LJH

Are the missing rivets on the body by the drip edge or on the door?
If they are on the body you might be able to use the Olympic rivets. If they are holding the door skin to the door frame you may have to find buck rivets.
Do a search in the skins and rivets subforum to to get a "grip" on the subject.

Good luck,
Tom.
